    136) Also some Title Deeds fouled and disfigured and important papers damaged some floated (Invoices) and lost in the Mud. This MIGHT be a matter of some importance, I make no charge.        
    Lastly I mention two to me serious losses. Viz:        
    137) Stripped from my Waistcoat while shovelling out the mud from my House a small purse containing 4 sovereigns and half sovereigns £6      
    138) A parcel containing £9 in silver. This I had placed for safety, but the Flood tilted the package whereon I had placed it, emptying the contents into the mud, this I did not become aware of until after the mud had been carted away £9      
    139) Cost of removal of foods and spoiled Goods £1 3s 9d  
    Deduct this from account sold at 6d per lb or Half cost price, 30 lbs Carrigliano [?] Juice see article No. 26 of this account. The knowledge that I had this article im my place, and the attempt I have made to sell it, have driven from me most of my Customers for this article It will not sell, and I doubt if it is prudent for parties to use it   -15s    
    In reference to SOME of my damaged Goods it may be stated, that it would not be safe either to use or sell them: they could not escape saturation from various offensive and deleterious articles. Oils, Turpentine etc. being lighter than water, nearly the whole of my stock of these articles was floated out and dispersed, the containing vessels being filled with water. In this account, all articles destroyed or unsaleable are charged for the full quantity at cost prices, & where an article has been rendered of only fractional value, or has been partly destroyed I have estimated the value in accordance in the money column
